Welcome, my name is Marit. I offer culturally sensitive and compassionate short-term and long-term psychotherapy to adults (18+) in-person in Leyton, East London and online. I work in English and German.
I am warm and open-minded, offering you a safe, confidential and collaborative space where we can explore what matters most to you. Working together with curiosity and compassion, I’ll support you in developing greater understanding and finding your own way forward.

I work with a range of experiences that include:
– Anxiety, Overwhelm and Burnout
– Bereavement and Loss
– Depression
– Identity Issues (culture, race, gender, sexuality, disability)
– Intimacy and Sex
– Loneliness and Isolation
– Low self-esteem and confidence
– Midlife transition
– Perimenopause, Menopause and Ageing
– Relationship Issues (family, romantic, friendships, work)
– Trauma (sexual abuse, domestic violence, intergenerational trauma)
Alongside my general practice I work in a few particular areas, including therapy in German and German identity, group work, and therapy for creatives.
I am committed to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice, and welcome clients of all identities, cultural backgrounds, faiths, genders, sexualities and abilities.
Getting in touch can feel scary at first, but I hope to make you feel at ease and safe when you get in touch. You can either email me at marit@go-to-therapy.org or get in touch via the contact form.
